Gentleman McCarty recently completed a major study for the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation which was funded by Lilly Endowment. Indianapolis metropolitan area residents were surveyed by email in the summer of 2016 to ask about their current music preferences and what awareness they had of the Indy Jazz Fest which is held over a 10-day period each September. Following this year’s Jazz Fest, Gentleman McCarty conducted in-depth interviews with current Jazz Fest sponsors and with corporate sponsor prospects. This information was presented to the Board of Directors of the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation on October 24, 2016. The Indianapolis Jazz Foundation will use the information provided by Gentleman McCarty to attract new corporate sponsors and to fine-tune the marketing messages it uses to draw residents to Indy Jazz Fest every year.
